Read the full story hereMUNCIE — Devin Kidd sums up the past four years by drawing a stick figure with its head on fire.
The fire is what caused the 7-year-old to obsessively tap surfaces every few seconds and uncontrollably flail his arm. It caused him to pick at his lips until they bled and his skin hung loose.
He receded into his own small, gray body, unable to make eye contact or finish his sentences without stumbling. He ate constantly and panicked, screaming for food, if he felt hungry. Sometimes there was uncontrollable rage. And he was convinced his family was trying to hurt him by giving him expired food.
