Well she’s finally going.  She should be gone but UF gave her additional time to inflict her cruelty.  https://www.firstcoastnews.com/article/news/local/internal-investigation-says-controversial-child-abuse-pediatrician-was-found-to-violate-uf-policy/77-430869f0-144a-4405-b434-40eee02e4b35?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=nextdoor.com&utm_campaign=nextdoor_news&fbclid=IwY2xjawLXgtlleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETFmMTVzMkFueTF4NjA4bVdOAR69zN4QTnHfLd5cr3FPRrKpjVOlNe3e1SzbginQQdnNw0s7XWvQ8r3VLo2XZg_aem_0zaDO-vsmpLz0ynHuNXepw#neh0eyfyqekq5oogzsm2dbsyb0doovp4

It was a mystery as to why University of Florida ever hired Barbara Knox, MD in the first place with full knowledge of her prior conduct.  In February of 2024, the Orlando Sentinel asked the million dollar question: why would UF  show the poor judgment to hire Knox — including at a salary of $280,000? https://www.orlandosentinel.com/2022/07/01/another-questionable-hire-uf-med-school-hires-child-abuse-expert-with-controversial-record-commentary/ Here history was widely publicized.  Given that track record, it’s no surprise that Florida families and UF employees were subjected to her abuse throughout her tenure. So, why would she be allowed to remain until August 15, 2025 when the report about her abusive conduct was dated back in March?

Who is behind these hirings and retentions that have inflicted misery on so many in Florida? And to anyone who thinks child abuse pediatricians are “low paid,” wake up and smell the coffee. To everyone else, my message is CALL THEM OUT.
