Attorney Beth Maloney has been selected to speak at American Bar Association’s 2024 Spring Conference: Children & the Law. On April 12, 2024, she will be discussing “medical kidnapping” cases.
“There are 350 child abuse pediatricians in the country and more than one million lawyers,” Ms. Maloney commented. “I’m looking forward to emboldening them with the information they need to win cases where child abuse is falsely alleged. Child abuse pediatricians start by presuming abuse, rather than concluding abuse only after carefully determining that there is no other valid explanation for a finding or set of findings. Attorneys need to know how to aggressively hold physicians to the appropriate standard.”
